The Conference hotel is Harveys in Stateline, Nevada, effectively on the the California/Nevada border connecting to South Lake Tahoe. The hotel is at the corner of
Lake Tahoe Blvd (US50) and Stateline Ave.
RESERVATION PROCEDURE: Individual Phone-In ONLY
Individual attendees will make reservations via phone-in to
the Central Reservations at 1-800-455-4770.
(available 8 am - 5 pm PST; you can also send the FAX-in form to
Harveys at any time). If you use the Harvey website for
reservations, please inform trognlien@llnl.gov since our special
number will not work there. Also, do not use any alternate website
vendor (other than Harveys site), since these reservations will not
count toward our required meeting quota.
Individuals must identify themselves with the Group Code:
S04SHER to receive the special group rate of $85 per night.
Specific room requests are not guaranteed; however, every
effort will be made to facilitate each request.
Credit card deposit for first night's room and tax is
required to guarantee individual reservations. Individual credit
card's will be charged first night's room and tax at time of
reservation.
Revisions to a phone-in reservation will be made directly to
our Central Reservations.
Individuals will be required to present a credit card upon
check-in for credit identification purposes in lieu of corporate
guarantee of charges. Cancellation Policy is 72 hours prior to
arrival to avoid a charge of first night's room and tax.
Individual will be responsible for all Room, Tax and incidentals.
The Hotel will continue to accept reservations after the
specified cut-off date of March 10, 2005 on a space available basis at the
prevailing hotel rate.
To enter the hotel guest registration area, go to the lower level reached by driving into the hotel parking area off the main street; the buses will stop directly at this lower lobby level. If you enter the hotel from the main street level, you will find yourself in Harveys casino, and it is inconvenient (though certainly possible) to cart your bags through this area and then down an escalator to the lower hotel registration area. The conference area and hotel rooms are completely isolated from the casino activities.
