General Information
The 2004 International Sherwood Theory Conference was held April 26-28 in Missoula, Montana. All technical sessions were held at the conference hotel, the Doubletree Hotel Missoula. The conference host was The University of Montana and the local co-chairs were Andrew Ware and Eijiro Uchimoto. Contributed abstract submissions were presented of the latest theoretical results in basic plasma physics and their application to the international fusion energy science program including areas such as:
The program consisted of invited review papers, oral contributed papers, and poster presentations. Oral talks were selected by the program committee from abstract submissions. All submissions were accepted for presentation in either oral or poster format. This conference was conducted in accordance with the International Council of Scientific Unions guidelines on free circulation of scientists.
