Abstract Text:
It was previously shown that the fission-less ignition of thermonuclear reactions can be achieved by the stable implosion of small supersonically rotating cylindrical targets imploded with 100 MJ relativistic electron beams. In this approach three things work miraculously together: Einstein's general theory of relativity, the thermomagnetic Nernst effect and Elsasser's dynamo theory. It permits to replace the liquid deuterium tritium with the dry lithium 6 deuterium salt, whereby the high rotational velocity dissociates the salt into lithium and deuterium, with the lithium by centrifugal separation being accumulated in the center, surrounded by a layer of dense deuterium. Enriching the lithium 6 deuterium salt with lithium 7, the nuclear gain can even be increased by the neutron lithium reaction. The replacement of the liquid deuterium tritium by the dry lithium deuterium salt makes it an ideal fuel for Orion-type space craft propulsion.
